If you think your life is hard/ working a nine to five
Add a few more hours to your day/ thats how i survive

I was always told pay what you have to/ and put the rest away
Because it might be sunny now/ but it could rain any day

And if it does you will be glad/ you have that money
Because you will still be able to/ put food in your tummy

So i work overtime/ every single day
In case it rains/ and so my kids can play

It's not much/ but we make it by
At least we cut back/ on how much we used to cry

Times were tough/ so we buckled down
Now we finally get to see/ the flip side of our usual frown

Dedication and hard work/ to my family and my job
Stopped praying and then waiting/ on an answer from God

Still im pretty tired/ of living on a budget
The worlds full of gold/ im just after my nugget

So i work hard everyday/ turned myself into a go getter
But i have my limits/ im not trying to be a record setter

So i set my sights high/ but it's something i can achieve
It was not that hard/ i just had to believe

So dont be worried/ if your having a hard time
Buckle down stay focused/ and work a little overtime

Word, I've been workin quite abit of overtime the last 5 weeks...2 hours every day. It definitely allows you to live a little better if you're willing to put in the extra time.

i put my family first i try to balance it out beacuse time with my kids and my girl is just as important as putting food on the table

This was early shit for me readin it now i feel like i could have written it so much better, i been so wrapped up in battles i havent ever thought to look back on these, was in a reflecting and givin out life advice mood for a couple months lol but hey i appreciate the feed back not written the greatest but true shit and from the heart
