through homes of stain
glass windows. That's
my word, I
wish they would
let me do a poem in church

a thing or two

You gotta have faith
to put hope in that
book because faith
is believe and

Faith is what tells
wives from the womb of Adam's rib
"submit to your husbands"

Read your Bible, Christian
Go anoint something with oil
Fall on humble knees and
bow your head in prayer
Do whatever the fuck
you damn please, but

your sermon
because I've heard it
in every language
from every angle
and I don't buy any of it
I do not believe
a word of it
and they that do
are deceived

Call me crazy
for thinking
that people don't
come back from the dead
But do not
ever
call me
a Christian
because I am so

your brother
in Christ
