I am thinkin about buying some studio equipment. I have some beats in my mind that i want to start making. What would i need? Dude told me about this MPC 5000 is it worth buying? And if so what else...

mpc are dope.. and pretty much anything u can program ur sounds to some keyboards can do the same time and some electric drum pads.. but if u can afford the mpc go for it..

pro tools and an interface. and every musical instrument you can play/find. I only have 1 piece of advice for you, cause really i don't know wtf i'm talking about with making beats... just be creative. |

| I don't know much about makin beats, but I know some tight producers who work with MPC's so I'd say give it a go. KOS

If you're just starting out download fruityloops or ableton plus an 808 drum pack and go to town

I use fruity loops 5 and 7 and I'm pretty much good with it. Some producers doubt if I use fruityloops cos I know all the tricks on em. mpc is good but you can try Sonar
