Default Production: Most Important Part of Music

Production is the most important part of an album. If an album does not have good production, it's not gonna be hot.

not really, cause if you got dope beats and wack lyrics then i'm not trying to hear it. each element is as important as the other when making music.

an album with dope beats but horrendous lyrics will do well commercially but it doesn't mean it's a good album

I think production is square one. Vivid, cohesive production is the most common thread among Hip-Hop albums that are deemed, "classic." That's not to say that lyrics don't matter, but there are plenty of shitty rappers who've made dope albums and plenty of dope rappers who've made shitty albums. Production is key.
